Yorkshire Coast & Ryedale

Exchange Teacher Training, accredited to Delta Academies Trust, delivers initial teacher training on the North Yorkshire Coast and Ryedale. Delta and its partners, including Scarborough Teaching Alliance, have a longstanding, proven track record in delivering high quality Initial Teacher Training, and many are at the forefront of developments in teaching practice and professional learning nationally.  

Our trainees on the Yorkshire Coast benefit from local placement schools with weekly training place taking place at Scarborough UTC. The induction conference and subject sessions will take place at other locations across Yorkshire, including the Education Exchange Conference Centre in Knottingley, West Yorkshire.

Our trainees will benefit from a broad alliance of loyal partner schools locally, teamed with the capacity of a large multi-academy trust of 63 academies across Yorkshire and the Humber. We are proud of a long tradition of offering high quality teacher training on the coast. Scarborough Teaching Alliance was founded in 2012 as local schools collaborated to deliver teacher development. Our alliance is driven by a strong moral purpose to improve educational outcomes for all children, particularly in our coastal and rural communities.
