Exchange Teaching Training is an integral part of The Exchange Partnership.
Our shared mission is to improve the quality of education throughworld class professional learning for all.
Through our collective work, we
- create a pipeline of great teachers into the profession through internships,initial teacher training and apprenticeships.
- maximise the impact of the Early Careers Teacher Entitlement (ECTE) in making a positive difference to the recruitment and retention of teachers, recognising the pivotal role of effective mentoring in teacher development.
- ensure that ECTs receive their statutory entitlements and are fairly and consistently assessed through our role as an Appropriate Body.
- offer the full suite of National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) to colleagues wishing to develop as highly effective leaders.
- mobilise and exemplify the best available evidence, ensuring access to evidence-informed CPD and resource that supports all children and their educators to grow and flourish.
- build a professional learning community which is inclusive for all.
Together, we
- design and develop high quality evidence-informed professional learning which prioritises its impact upon children facing disadvantage.
- draw upon experts in our region to create a cadre of high-quality facilitators to deliver across the breadth of our offer.
- build a pipeline of great teachers and leaders in our region through delivery of the golden thread of teacher development.
- enact rigorous procedures for monitoring the performance of our activities, using the findings to inform continuous improvement.
- place collaboration above competition, working together in a relationship based on aspiration, authenticity, credibility, consideration and collaboration.
